250mlbeef brothor use a stock cube dissolved in hot water
125 gramscreme fraiche
2onionschopped
2garlic clovesfinely chopped
1tbspall purpose flour
2tspmustard
couplestalks of parsleyfinely chopped
1tspWorcestershire sauceleave out if you don't have it
400gramsmafaldine pasta, cooked(or any pasta you like)
Instructions
Cut the steak into about 1 1/2x1/2-inch strips.
Heat a table spoon of olive oil or butter in a skillet and cook the steak strips over medium heat for about a minute until brown. Take it out of the skillet and set aside.
Add another table spoon olive oil in the same skillet and cook the mushrooms, onions and garlic over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until onions are tender.
Lower the heat and add the table spoon of flour, stir well. Add the broth and stir . Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
Add the creme fraiche and mustard. Stir until combined. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes. This will result in a slightly thick sauce. Add the Worcestershire sauce if you are using it.
Finally add the steak strips to the skillet, stir to combine and let it simmer for the last time for a couple of minutes.
Pour the sauce over your favorite pasta and enjoy!
Notes
I love to eat this with some pickled red onion. This gives it just a little extra.
